Psychological Testing
At Counseling for Healthy Minds, we understand that accurate diagnosis is the first step toward meaningful progress. Our licensed professional counselors, Anita Henrichson, LPC and April Bryden, LPC, provide compassionate and thorough psychological testing services designed to help children, teens, and adults better understand their strengths, challenges, and needs.
Why Psychological Testing Matters
Psychological testing is a valuable tool in identifying a wide range of concerns, including learning differences, ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and cognitive functioning. A thorough evaluation provides:
Clarity – Helping clients and families understand what is happening beneath the surface.
Direction – Guiding treatment planning, school or workplace accommodations, and support services.
Confidence – Offering peace of mind by providing a clearer picture and pathway forward.
Our goal is to make sure every client receives the insight and answers they need to support growth and healing.
Who Provides Testing?
At Counseling for Healthy Minds, all psychological testing is conducted by our experienced and licensed professionals:
Anita Henrichson, LPC – Over 25 years of experience, specializing in children, families, and advocacy within the justice and education systems.

Both Anita and April bring not only clinical expertise but also compassion, patience, and dedication to every client they serve.
Costs and Payment
The cost of psychological testing depends on the type of evaluation, your insurance coverage, and whether you are paying privately. Because every client’s situation is unique, fees are determined on a case-by-case basis.
Insurance Coverage
Some insurance plans cover part or all of the cost of psychological testing.
Coverage depends on your policy, medical necessity, and type of testing requested.
We encourage clients to check with their insurance provider for details.
Self-Pay
Licensed counselors typically charge $100–$250 per hour for psychological testing and evaluation.
Self-pay clients will receive a cost estimate before services begin.
Payment plans may be discussed when appropriate.
Comprehensive
Full assessments—which include multiple hours of interviews, standardized testing, scoring, interpretation, and a written report—often range between $1,000 and $3,000 in total.
The final cost depends on the complexity of the evaluation and the client’s specific needs.

If you believe you or your child may benefit from psychological testing, we invite you to contact our office at 469-769-1121. Our team will guide you through the intake process, discuss costs, and help determine the best next steps.
At Counseling for Healthy Minds, we are here to provide insight, guidance, and hope.
How long does psychological testing take?
The length of testing depends on the type and scope of the evaluation. Some assessments may take a few hours, while more comprehensive evaluations can take multiple sessions.
What should I expect during the testing process?
Testing usually includes a clinical interview, standardized assessments, questionnaires, and sometimes observation. After testing, our counselors will carefully score and interpret the results before preparing a written report and recommendations.
Will insurance cover the cost of testing?
Coverage depends on your individual insurance policy and the reason for the evaluation. We recommend contacting your provider to confirm your benefits. Our office can provide the necessary billing codes to assist with that process.
When will I get the results?
Results are typically available within 2–4 weeks after the evaluation is completed, depending on the type of testing. A feedback session will be scheduled to review findings and discuss next steps.
Who provides the testing?
All psychological testing at Counseling for Healthy Minds is conducted by Anita Henrichson, LPC and April Bryden, LPC, both experienced licensed professionals.
