Founder Anita Henrichson, MBS, LPC-S has been a licensed professional counselor since 1999. Her credentials are impeccable. Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, clinical trainer, founder of a multi-clinician group practice serving Rockwall County for more than a quarter century. But her clinical career has never been separate from her faith. They have been the same thing, expressed in the same work, from the beginning.

For 12 years, Anita hosted "Christian Counseling Today," a radio program that brought mental health conversations into the homes of thousands of Rockwall County families. For 12 years, she did what she has always done: held clinical excellence and Christian faith in the same hand, for the community she has served her entire career.

That is not a credential she added to her bio. That is who she is. And it is the culture, the standard, and the spirit that every therapist at Counseling for Healthy Minds carries into every session.

About Anita Henrichson

Anita Henrichson is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 25 years of experience working with children, teens, and adults. Since earning her Master’s degree in Behavioral Science in 1997 and receiving her LPC license in 1999, she has specialized in children’s play therapy, individual and group therapy, family counseling, and more. Anita uses a Person-Centered approach and blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients manage their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors.

Counseling Experience

Anita has counseled clients on issues like abuse, anxiety, depression, addiction, grief, trauma, self-esteem, relationship problems, and family issues. She also speaks at women’s groups and community events.

Personal Journey

Anita is a breast cancer survivor and has overcome many personal challenges, including divorce and raising three children as a single mother. She is now happily remarried, a stepmother to four, and a grandmother.
