Healing Together: EMDR Group for Cheerleaders

  • Group Description.

The recent trauma from the NCA shooting has deeply affected both cheerleaders and their parents. In this healing-focused group, we offer specialized support for both groups: an EMDR group for cheerleaders and a Talk Therapy group for parents. These sessions are designed to provide a safe, supportive environment for processing emotions, coping with anxiety, and beginning the journey toward healing.

For Cheerleaders: The EMDR group will help you reprocess distressing memories, reduce emotional charge, and create space for peace and healing. EMDR is an evidence-based, gentle technique that can help clear trauma and help you regain emotional balance.

For Parents: The Talk Therapy group will offer a space for you to express your emotions, gain coping strategies, and connect with other parents who understand the pain and uncertainty you may be feeling. This group will focus on support, processing grief, and building resilience as you move forward.
