Megan Murphy is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, supervised by Anita Hendrickson, LPC-S. Her passion for counseling is deeply rooted in her own life experiences. Having navigated personal challenges throughout childhood and the profound loss of her grandfather at age 14, Megan found strength and healing through her own journey in therapy—an experience that ultimately inspired her to help others do the same.

A long-time resident of Rockwall, Texas, Megan has called the area home since kindergarten. She was actively involved in the community through competitive cheer, studio dance, and as a member of the drill team at Rockwall Heath High School, where she graduated in 2016. She later pursued her counseling education at Texas A&M University–Commerce. These early experiences gave her a unique perspective on the pressures of athletic performance, social expectations, and the complexities of growing up—insights that now inform her work with clients.

Megan specializes in working with children, teens, adolescents, and adults. Her areas of focus include depression, anxiety, self-worth and confidence, bullying, peer pressure, social anxiety, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and the emotional impact of absent parents. She is especially passionate about creating a safe, compassionate space where clients can explore their emotions, overcome life’s obstacles, and move toward lasting healing.

Megan believes in the power of resilience and personal growth. As Carl Jung once said, “I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become.” Megan brings this philosophy into her counseling work, helping clients realize that even through life’s hardest moments, they have the power to resurface and become who they are meant to be.
