Who Megan Works With

Megan specializes in working with children, teens, adolescents, and adults. Her areas of focus include depression, anxiety, self-worth and confidence, bullying, peer pressure, social anxiety, self-harm, suicidal ideation, the emotional impact of absent parents and/or alcoholic parents, and life transitions. She is especially passionate about creating a safe, compassionate space where clients can explore their emotions, overcome life’s obstacles, and move toward lasting healing.

Megan has additional training in Trauma and while utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Diabetic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) as her therapeutic approaches, she also uses different modalities to meet the needs of her clients. She also incorporates art, play, and board games, especially with younger clients to build connection, self expression, and foster emotional processing.

Megan believes in the power of resilience and personal growth. As Carl Jung once said, “I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become.” Megan brings this philosophy into her counseling work, helping clients realize that even through life’s hardest moments, they have the power to resurface and become who they are meant to be. The core of her work is to create a safe and comforting space for clients and families to work through life’s challenges

Outside the Therapy Room

Megan was born in Tyler, Texas and moved to the Rockwall area where she attended school from Kinder-12th grade. Outside the office, Megan is married and recently became a mom at the end of June of this year! She is also a dog mom to a Husky and Australian Shepard! She enjoys spending time with her family and having her favorite drink; Dr. Pepper! Megan would be honored to walk alongside you in your therapeutic journey and families and parents with compassion and support.
